About The Shop
Get to know us better by taking a look at some info about the shop.
We accept all major debit and credit cards with the addition of Solo and Electron. American Express will do nicely too, and keeping right up to date, Apple/Google Pay (no house limit), so your phone is welcome too.
We exchange unwanted products in the original un-opened packaging only. Over the years we have experienced fraudulent refund requests and reluctantly will insist on production of a Cornerweighs receipt (which is bar-coded, thus tracking back to the original sale) and therefore proof of purchase. In the case of a poor-quality issue, we would want to know straight away, in fact call us now if you have one (01273 492794) and tell us all about it. We can claim from our supplier but more importantly remove or at least check the remaining stock for quality issues. We need to know when stock is not good.
We are glad to give less able-bodied people individual attention not afforded to other shoppers. Attended wheelchairs will fit through the doorway but scooters will not. Scooters can be parked directly and safely outside. This service, we hope, more than compensates for our poor access up a step and in an alleyway.
Henfield village currently enjoys two car parks with a small fee, choice of hours with a maximum stay of four. The nearest car park to Cornerweighs is Henfield Hall (Village Hall). If you are using SAT NAV, you will need Coopers Way (BN5 9DB), for the Village Hall car park. From there, we are a very short walk past the left-hand side of Sainsbury's back entrance. You will see a small alleyway with Caudle Street signed over the top. Cornerweighs is first on the right through this alleyway.
Single items:
We encourage “special order”, which helps us bridge the gap between what customers would like to get from us and what would be viable as a product line on our shelves. Within reason, our suppliers will send out singles, meaning we can fulfill your special request in most cases. Lead times can be from a few days up to two weeks, depending on the ordering cycle. Please note some suppliers will not send single GLASS bottles. In each case we will ask for contact details (name and number) to advise collection available - this is manually recorded and respects GDPR regulations.
Case requests:
This works really well with frequent turn-over items, such as plant milks. Order a full case and get 10% off.
By car and using SATNAV (enter Coopers Way BN5 9DB). You will see the Henfield Village Hall car park. Pass this on your left and then turn right, down the right side of Sainsbury's back entrance. This takes you to the back of the store, where the loading bay will be directly in front of you (parked cars for the flats above will be on the left as will our pedestrian alleyway -Caudle Street entrance), facilitating collection of heavier bulk items or for setting down of less able-body people.
Deliveries are to Henfield and District addresses only. Orders need to be placed allowing 48 hours for delivery. Card details will be processed directly before delivery is made. Items and receipts to be posted will incur the current Royal Mail Small Packet Fee in addition to the cost of the item being sent.
New products come into the store all the time as we try and keep pace with seasons, and product innovations. Offers will be clearly marked a large yellow label with the reason stated. Since the launch of our EPOS System, we have found several items to put on clearance, keeping our range fresh. Do not be alarmed by how much we are clearing out, now we know, we have the figures.
